Eric Carlson is a second-generation AV Rated attorney with a national litigation practice concentrated in product liability, toxic torts, fire and explosion cases, trucking litigation, and general liability matters. He has represented clients of all sizes — from major corporations to smaller enterprises — in courts across the United States.

Admitted to practice in Wisconsin, Illinois, Texas, and New York, and in multiple Federal Courts, Eric was instrumental in expanding Crivello Carlson beyond its Wisconsin roots. He opened the firm’s Houston, Texas office, later established its Chicago location, and played a key role in forming the Madison County, Illinois branch.

Since the 1990s, Eric has defended asbestos claims in jurisdictions across the country. His national experience and courtroom presence have led to strong working relationships with plaintiff’s counsel nationwide. In one notable Wisconsin case, he successfully argued corporate successor liability before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, relying on precedent set in a case his father had argued years prior.

He has conducted hundreds of investigations involving product failures, fires, and explosions nationwide, emphasizing the importance of early fact-finding and evidence preservation. His work in trucking litigation spans decades, including a defense verdict in a high-profile Illinois federal case where the plaintiff sought $20 million in damages.

Eric brings seasoned judgment to litigation strategy, recognizing when resolution is appropriate and when trial is necessary. He has tried numerous cases to verdict with a results-driven approach.

Outside of the courtroom, Eric enjoys time with his wife and twin sons. He is active in his community, coaching youth hockey and baseball, and spending time outdoors with his family boating, playing sports, and exploring nature.
