About Sheri D. Coover

Sheri D. Coover, Esquire brings a wealth of experience and resilience to her legal practice, drawing on a career path marked by determination and public service. Raised in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, she worked in quality control and spent six years at the Cumberland County Courthouse before pursuing her dream of becoming an attorney. While raising four children as a single mother, Sheri earned her Paralegal Studies degree from Harrisburg Area Community College, a Public Policy degree from Penn State, and a law degree from Dickinson School of Law, all by 2004. Though she initially focused on tax law, Sheri found her calling in family law, representing clients in emotionally and legally complex divorce and custody cases across seven Pennsylvania counties.

In 2017, Sheri was appointed as a Custody Conciliator for Cumberland County, where she guides parents toward agreements that prioritize the best interests of their children. She continues to represent private clients in high-conflict custody matters and property disputes, drawing on her courtroom experience and deep understanding of family dynamics. In addition to family law, she has handled criminal defense, Protection from Abuse cases, and administrative hearings related to child welfare and Social Security benefits. Known for her empathy and tenacity, Sheri balances her legal work with a love for sports, spending her free time at baseball and football games or with her nearby children and grandchildren.
