Maibel Reyes, born in Cuba, came to the United States as a child with her parents in pursuit of the American Dream. A graduate of FIU College of Law, she began her legal career as an Assistant State Attorney in Miami-Dade County, where she handled hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases. Known for her balance of fairness and advocacy, she fought for justice while recognizing when leniency was warranted.
