About Casey Gartland

Casey Gartland, originally from Newtown, Connecticut, has deep roots in Southwest Florida, having moved there with his family at a young age. After graduating from Port Charlotte High School, he attended Florida Gulf Coast University (FGCU), where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Forensic Studies and Criminal Justice, achieving academic honors. He then pursued his Master of Science in Criminal Justice at the University of Cincinnati, also graduating with distinction. Mr. Gartland went on to earn his Juris Doctorate in 2018 from the University of Florida’s Levin College of Law, where he was active in the trial team, held leadership roles, and received accolades for his advocacy and volunteer work.

During law school, he gained practical experience as a certified legal intern at the Law Offices of Kathleen A. Smith, Public Defender, in Florida's Twentieth Judicial Circuit, where he developed skills in trial advocacy. After passing the Florida Bar, he began his legal career with Swope, Rodante P.A. in Tampa, advocating for victims of injury due to negligence. While there, he contributed to a significant personal injury trial that resulted in a substantial jury award, placing it among Florida's top trial verdicts of 2019. Following this, he joined the Gunter Firm in Fort Myers, where he successfully handled various employment, contract, and personal injury cases.

In 2021, Mr. Gartland joined The Pendas Law Firm’s Fort Myers office, where he managed to resolve over $8 million in cases for his clients. He also led the establishment of the Pendas Law Firm Disaster Relief Center to assist the community in recovering from Hurricane Ian, offering vital resources like food, water, and information to families in need.

Outside his legal practice, Mr. Gartland is an active member of the Southwest Florida community, volunteering with local organizations and participating in events with the Lee County Bar Association.
