About Bret C. Green

Bret C. Green began his academic journey in political science, earning his Bachelor of Arts from Texas A&M University. His interest in law was sparked during an internship at the Brazos County District Attorney's Office, leading him to pursue a law degree at St. Mary's University School of Law, which he obtained in 2000. During his time at law school, Mr. Green was an active member of the community, tutoring in the Office of Academic Excellence, serving as President of Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity, and excelling in mock trial competitions. He achieved notable recognition, including winning the American Trial Lawyers Association Mock Trial Competition in Florida and earning the title of Best Speaker in over 20 competition rounds. His outstanding contributions to academics and trial advocacy earned him the Judge Jack B. Miller Educating for Justice Award and induction into the Order of Barristers.

Today, Mr. Green is a distinguished speaker and panelist, known for his inspiring messages on positivity, growth, and overcoming adversity, engaging audiences from intimate gatherings to over 10,000 attendees. He co-hosts a weekly conference call on positive self-talk and is set to release his book, "The Three Rings and The Y of Life," in December 2022. As the founder of Green Legal, P.C., and Of Counsel for Black & Skaggs, P.C., he lends his extensive knowledge to insurance defense litigation, representing a diverse clientele from individuals to large corporations like HEB and Midas. Mr. Green actively contributes to his community through the Texas Lawyers Assistance Program and both the Texas and San Antonio Criminal Defense Associations. He is also a certified guardian through the State Bar of Texas. Outside of his professional life, Bret is a devoted family man, enjoying life with his wife Cindy, their two children, and two grandchildren.
