About Alison Chamberlain

Alison Chamberlain is dedicated to guiding individuals through the complexities of legal challenges, especially in sensitive areas like family law. Her goal is to alleviate the stress associated with legal disputes by handling each case with skill and empathy. With extensive experience in family law and as an Attorney for Children, Alison is adept at evaluating situations logically and collaboratively setting achievable objectives at the outset of each case. A trained mediator, she often succeeds in resolving disputes amicably through mediation or negotiation. However, when peaceful resolutions are unattainable, she is well-versed in litigation, representing clients across various counties.

Originating from Camillus, NY, and a West Genesee Senior High School alum, Alison pursued her undergraduate studies at Northeastern University in Boston, earning a B.A. in Political Science with a History minor. She then attended Syracuse University College of Law, focusing on Trusts and Estates and Tax Law, and held editorial positions with the Impunity Watch Law Journal and the Science and Technology Law Reporter.

Licensed in New York State, Alison began her career at WHMB, PC in 2013, becoming a partner by 2017. Her practice spans Matrimonial and Domestic Relations, Family Court, Adoption, Contract Drafting and Negotiation, and Traffic Violations. Committed to community service, she provides legal aid to indigent individuals through the Cayuga County Assigned Counsel Panel and has been an Attorney for Children panelist in Cayuga and Onondaga Counties since 2014. Recently certified as a mediator, Alison is active in her community, contributing to the Fairmount Community Library board and various Cayuga County Bar Association committees, including founding the association's Women's Committee.
