About Michelle M. Hopkins

Michelle brings over a decade of litigation and trial experience to her legal practice. Her journey in the legal field included clerkships at the Hawaii State Office of the Attorney General, Education Division, and the Judiciary, Staff Attorney Office, as well as a managerial role at Hickam Air Force Base's education site in Hawaii. While pursuing her law degree, she clerked for The Carlberg Law Firm, transitioning to an Associate Attorney post-graduation.

Beyond her legal practice, Michelle has been imparting knowledge as an Adjunct Professor at Hawaii Pacific University since 2004, teaching courses such as Introduction to American Political Processes and Public Administration. Her adept communication skills serve her well both in the classroom and in client interactions. Her excellence in law has not gone unnoticed; Michelle is a Super Lawyers® Rising Star and has been acknowledged as a top Virginia lawyer by the American Institute of Family Law Attorneys since 2017. Additionally, she has earned the Martindale-Hubble® Client Champion Award for eight consecutive years up to 2021 and has been consistently featured as a Top Lawyer by Northern Virginia Magazine since 2017. Residing in Northern Virginia, Michelle cherishes time with her children, indulges in reading and cooking, enjoys the outdoors, and frequents theater performances in Washington, D.C.
