About Michelle Hawes

For over a decade, Attorney Michelle Hawes has been a practicing lawyer in Rhode Island. Her academic journey began at the University of Connecticut, leading her to Roger Williams University Law School, where she graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctor degree. During her law school years, Michelle stood out as a member of the Roger Williams University Law Review and served on the Moot Court Board, showcasing her commitment and skill early on in her career.

Michelle gained admission to the Rhode Island state bar in November 2008, followed by the Massachusetts state bar in December 2008, and the Connecticut state bar in June 2009. She also joined the United States District Court, District of Rhode Island bar in February 2009, and the United States District Court, District of Massachusetts bar in July 2009. Although licensed to practice in multiple states, Michelle has concentrated her efforts primarily in Rhode Island. Her passion for appellate advocacy traces back to an influential externship at the Rhode Island Supreme Court, further shaping her legal career. Michelle's practice spans various domains of civil litigation, with a particular emphasis on product liability, reflecting her diverse experience and dedication to the field.
