Gerber Law, dedicated to assisting accident injury victims along Florida's Southwest coast, operates from its offices in Sarasota and Venice. Founded in 2001 by Maria Gerber, a Florida native and long-time resident of Southwest Florida, the firm benefits from her extensive legal background and personal journey as an accident victim herself. This unique combination of professional and personal insights fuels her dedication to offering personalized and vigorous representation for the rights of her clients. Maria exclusively advocates for accident victims in her community, leveraging her experience, education, and genuine compassion to secure justice for them.

Maria's blend of professional rigor and empathetic understanding sets her apart, ensuring that her clients receive both formidable legal representation and compassionate support. Before establishing Gerber Law, Maria served as a State Prosecutor for the Pinellas County State Attorney’s Office from 1995 to 1998. In this role, she prosecuted a wide array of criminal cases, led over 100 jury trials, and oversaw a team of prosecutors as a lead trial attorney. Her caseload included everything from battery to DUI manslaughter. Transitioning to private practice in 1998, she joined a large civil trial firm where she honed her craft practicing in personal injury law, developing a significant practice focused on accident and injury claims.

Maria is committed to representing the interests of injured children and adults, steadfastly choosing not to represent insurance companies. In addition to her legal practice, Maria has contributed her knowledge as an instructor at St. Petersburg Junior College and Polk Community College, covering topics such as police practices, accident investigation, and constitutional and criminal law.
