About Darrell G. Griffin Jr.

Mr. Griffin is deeply ingrained in the downtown community, with an impressive tenure of over 15 years. His journey began as a small business owner located across from the courthouse, primarily serving attorneys in the local area. Transitioning to law school, Mr. Griffin gained valuable experience at the San Joaquin District Attorney's Office, where his responsibilities included drafting motions and reviewing submissions to expunge criminal records. After earning his law degree, he ventured into civil practice, drafting complaints for breach of contracts, summary judgment motions, and efforts to set aside judgments.

Upon passing the bar, Mr. Griffin dedicated his skills to public defense in Calaveras County. His focus encompassed juvenile dependency and delinquency cases, with additional work in conservatorships and misdemeanor matters, including DUI trials. His extensive trial experience spanned not only DUI trials but also numerous trials for dependency and delinquency cases. Presently, Mr. Griffin's practice revolves around criminal defense work. In his first year, he impressively resolved over 150 cases. His main areas of focus include private DUI cases and handling serious felonies for the panel. He has recently applied for a higher-level panel and has been tentatively accepted to represent homicide cases.
