About Shilpa Anand

Shilpa Anand successfully completed her Juris Doctorate at Southwestern Law School, where she actively participated in the accelerated two-year Juris Doctorate program. Notably, she was awarded the Wildman Schumacher merit scholarship during her academic journey. At Southwestern Law School, Ms. Anand showcased her legal writing prowess by achieving the status of Finalist Writer in the Southwestern Intramural Competition, an accolade reserved for those who excel in crafting exceptional Appellate Briefs.

Her legal experiences include a summer clerkship at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and an externship with Castelblanco Law Group, APLC. Since 2014, Shilpa has dedicated her time to volunteer work at Inquilinos Unidos, an organization committed to tenants' rights in Los Angeles. Inquilinos Unidos, a non-profit entity, focuses on community organization, education, and advocacy for thousands of low-income tenants.

Admitted to the California Bar, Shilpa Anand has become an active member of various legal associations, including the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California, where she currently serves as the Mentorship Chair, and its Public Interest Foundation. She is also affiliated with the Southwestern Law School Nickel Club and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), the largest association of plaintiff-side trial lawyers in the country. While working at Castelblanco Law Group, APLC, Shilpa has honed her Spanish language skills. She holds licenses to practice law in the State of California and the Federal District Courts.
