I have been practicing personal injury plaintiff's law since 1977. Since the mid-80s my practice began to migrate to medical malpractice, due primarily to my interest in medicine. Now I am primarily handling medical malpractice cases. As my website reflects, I have successfully recovered millions of dollars in medical malpractice settlements. More significantly, many of these million-dollar recoveries involved cases which were very challenging, and which had been turned down by several firms. These details are also contained on my website. I served as a guest lecturer on medical malpractice at the Dartmouth School of Medicine in the 80's. In 2006, I prevailed on a tobacco product liability case in the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court which turned out to be a landmark decision. The court held that cigarette manufacturers cannot defend a breach of implied warranty product liability case brought by a smoker by arguing that the plaintiff chose to smoke. This case, Haglund v.
