A native of Louisiana, Jarrett spent significant periods in Tennessee and Georgia during the 1990s but returned to his roots to pursue education, having resided in Louisiana since 1998. He is happily married to Mindy Ambeau and cherishes his role as the father of six remarkable children.

Jarrett completed his undergraduate studies in Philosophy at Thomas Edison State College in New Jersey while serving in Kuwait/Iraq in 2004 with the United States Military. His tenure at Louisiana State University for 3 ½ years before deployment culminated in an undergraduate thesis focusing on Immanuel Kant's ethics and a formal logic analysis of Kant's moral law formulations from his book 'Groundwork of the Metaphysics of Morals.'

After returning from Iraq, Jarrett earned his law degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University in the spring of 2008. During his law school years, he showcased his legal prowess by being a two-time finalist in the Ira S. Flory Moot Court competition and a member of the 2007-2008 Moot Court Board.
