Carla Boyd Terre is an accomplished family law attorney and mediator, recognized as a Certified Family Law Specialist by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Her exceptional abilities have earned her an "AV Preeminent" rating by Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Ratings.

With an extensive background in legal leadership, Carla's involvement in the legal community is extensive. She notably served as the President of the Sonoma County Bar Association (SCBA) in 2015 and held the position of Chairperson of the Family Law Section Steering Committee in 2009. She was instrumental in establishing the Mental Health Liaison Committee, a subgroup within the Family Law Section of SCBA, and also contributed as a Commissioner on the Family Law Advisory Committee of the California State Bar from 2013 to 2016. Presently, Carla remains an active member of the Sonoma County Bar Association's Family Law Steering Committee.

Specializing exclusively in family law, Carla's practice encompasses a wide array of family law proceedings. Her expertise spans custody and visitation, property division, domestic partnerships, LGBTQ family law matters, adoption, child and spousal support, as well as pre-nuptial and post-marital agreements. She is deeply involved in mediation, working closely with clients as well as serving as a mediator for both represented and non-represented parties. Carla's commitment extends to acting as a Parenting Coordinator in custody cases and she has also served as a Private Judge.

Carla has an extensive courtroom presence, having appeared in various superior courts across California, including Sonoma, Marin, Napa, Lake, and Mendocino Counties. Her adept negotiation skills and mediation expertise have facilitated numerous settlements and effectively reduced the need for extensive litigation, benefitting many of her clients.
