About Emily Palmer

Emily Palmer, a seasoned associate attorney, specializes in the defense of individuals facing criminal charges, particularly DUII cases, from the Salem office of Gilroy Napoli Short. Before joining the firm, Emily served as a Deputy District Attorney in Marion County, Oregon, for four years. In that role, she prosecuted both misdemeanor and felony cases, collaborating with the Street Crimes Task Force to tackle complex drug offenses. Emily also gained experience at the United States Attorney’s Office in Portland, Oregon.

Leveraging her extensive background and intimate knowledge of criminal law, Emily passionately advocates for her clients, guiding them through the complexities of the justice system. A graduate of the University of Oregon with a major in International Studies and a focus on International Development, Emily furthered her education with a Juris Doctor degree from Willamette University. Prior to her legal career, she engaged in extensive travel through various international study and service programs, fostering a keen interest in combatting human trafficking, a topic on which she has spoken statewide. Outside of her professional pursuits, Emily finds joy in exploring the outdoors, traveling, and cheering on Oregon Duck football when she's not at work.
