In 1989, he graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Management Information Systems. Three years later, he earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Southern Methodist University School of Law and was immediately admitted to the State Bar of Texas.

With his personal experience and insight into the struggles of those going through family law cases, John Pfister is an ardent supporter who consistently provides successful legal representation. He has gone head-to-head with Child Protective Services (CPS) in order to help stepparents and grandparents alike go through the adoption process without issue.
