About Susan Clouthier

With nearly a decade of accomplished appellate work in Texas and various Circuit Courts under her belt, Susan Clouthier took the initiative to co-found Clouthier Cooperstein PLLC. Her mission was to extend her compassion and formidable appellate advocacy skills to the people of Mississippi. Susan has earned a multitude of commendations from both peers and clients, largely due to her unwavering commitment to honesty, integrity and creativity.

Throughout her illustrious career, Susan has navigated a diverse range of appellate cases, from interlocutory matters to original proceedings in both civil and criminal contexts. Her experience extends to criminal appeals, post-conviction proceedings, civil appeals across various practice areas, bankruptcy appeals, and family law appeals. Notably, Susan practices in both State and Federal courts, dedicating substantial time to staying current with evolving legal developments pertinent to appellate work. She holds licenses to practice in the State of Mississippi, the federal district courts in Mississippi, the Fifth Circuit, and even the United States Supreme Court, among other jurisdictions.

What sets Susan apart is her fervent dedication to helping her clients attain justice through the appellate process. Her personal history of surmounting significant challenges equips her with the ability to relate to her clients and their struggles, forging a deeper connection. Outside of her professional pursuits, Susan treasures her time with her two teenage daughters and loving husband. Her personal accomplishments extend beyond the courtroom, as she has completed five Ironman triathlons. Additionally, Susan finds joy in music, art, and the art of decorating.
