About Jay R. Mueller

Jay R. Mueller, the principal attorney at the Law Office Jay R. Mueller, boasts a career spanning back to 2002, when he embarked on his journey as a practicing attorney. In 2006, he founded his own law firm. Jay's educational background includes both undergraduate and graduate degrees from New Mexico Highlands University, and he pursued his legal studies at the University of New Mexico School of Law.

Throughout his legal education, Jay actively engaged in a diverse range of legal areas, from family law to DWI and criminal defense, as well as matters concerning Native American issues. He contributed his legal knowledge to the Navajo Nation Solicitor by researching family law concerns and secured his first victory in a DWI case at the Pueblo of Isleta Tribal Court.

In recent years, Jay has further honed his legal acumen through specialized training offered by the Children's Law Institute and the National Institute for Trial Advocacy. This training has been specifically tailored to address children's welfare law, mediation and conflict resolution, and courtroom advocacy techniques.

For over fourteen years, Jay has been a steadfast advocate for individuals facing issues such as divorce, child custody, domestic violence, and DWI cases. In the past, he maintained a close working relationship with the Second and Thirteenth Judicial District Children's Courts, and he continues to serve as Court-appointed counsel in various family law and children's court cases. Jay enthusiastically accepts appointments as a guardian ad litem in "high conflict" child custody cases.
