About Eryk Folmer

Hailing from Chicago's Northwest Side, Eryk Folmer is a proud alumnus of the Chicago Public Schools and Lane Tech College Prep. His academic journey led him to the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he earned a BA in History. Furthering his education, Eryk pursued law at DePaul University, securing a Certificate in Intellectual Property Law.

Embarking on his legal career, Eryk gained invaluable experience as an associate attorney under the guidance of Stephen J. Schlegel at Stephen J. Schlegel, Ltd. During this time, he handled intricate civil litigation, including class action defense and managing cases involving an international airline disaster, spanning various locations nationwide.

In 2015, Eryk established Folmer Law, a versatile firm specializing in residential and commercial real estate closings, consumer defense, contractual disputes, civil litigation and appeals, business formation, and serving as general counsel for small companies. Beyond his professional commitments, Eryk is a devoted family man, married with two young daughters. When not immersed in law or family time, he enjoys an active lifestyle, finding pleasure in playing golf and basketball.
