About Kate Hastings Winterland

Kate Hastings Winterland practices law at the Chandler office of Hastings & Hastings. A native of Arizona, Kate holds a B.S. in Economics from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. Before pursuing her legal career, she ventured to New York City, where she studied Classic Culinary Arts at the French Culinary Institute (now the International Culinary Center) and briefly worked in the city's vibrant restaurant industry. Kate later returned to Arizona to attend law school.

During her law school tenure, Kate became a certified Mediator, contributing her skills to mediating civil disputes, including misdemeanors, in the Maricopa County Justice Courts. She excelled academically, earning the CALI award in Evidence—the highest grade in her class—and receiving multiple merit scholarships. In her final year of law school, Kate served as a teaching assistant for first-year Contracts I & II. She was admitted to practice law by the State Bar of Arizona in 2020 and actively participates in the Arizona Association for Justice.

Residing in the East Valley with her husband, son, and a variety of pets, Kate embraces an active lifestyle. Beyond the office, she can be found outdoors, tending to her garden, exploring hiking trails, or camping in Northern Arizona, even in the summer heat. Kate's interests include spending quality time with her family, cooking, practicing yoga, and engaging in workouts with Shaun T.
