About Jessica S. Lacy

In 2008, Jessica Lacy established Lacy Law Office, LLC, drawing upon over two decades of expertise in family and probate law. As a certified guardian ad litem, domestic relations mediator, family law arbitrator, and parenting coordinator, she has successfully guided numerous families through legal challenges. Jessica graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Secondary Education from Hanover College in 1997, and in 2000, she earned her Juris Doctor from the South Carolina School of Law.

During law school, Jessica gained valuable experience as a clerk for both the South Carolina Department of Education and the South Carolina Department of Revenue. Her legal career commenced at Rubin & Levin in Indianapolis, focusing on complex commercial litigation. She later served as general counsel for Continental Enterprises, practicing various areas of law such as intellectual property, corporate, labor, and employment law. In 2003, Jessica transitioned to Freedman & Associates, where she began specializing in family and probate law.

Recognized as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2010 and 2011, Jessica achieved further acclaim as a Super Lawyer in 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. Actively involved in professional organizations, she is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and the Hancock County Bar Association. Jessica is dedicated to community service, volunteering for the Ask a Lawyer program and serving as a guardian ad litem for Kid’s Voice of Indiana. She has also contributed to the boards of the Hancock County Arts and the Kenneth Butler Memorial Soup Kitchen, and initiated the Hancock Mediation Day program.

Beyond her legal pursuits, Jessica cherishes quality time with her husband, daughter, and two dogs.
