About Michael Zogala

Michael Zogala serves as the pre-litigation managing attorney within the personal injury practice at Shulman & Hill. Admitted to practice in the State of New York since 2008, he joined the firm in 2021 following successful co-management of a personal injury law firm boasting over 60 employees. Hailing from Canada, Mr. Zogala earned his J.D. cum laude from Osgoode Hall Law School (Toronto) in 2007, with a concentration in complex litigation and mass torts. During his time in law school, he served as an editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and interned for various Judges of the Ontario Court of Justice. Mr. Zogala has contributed multiple academic articles to the Canadian Class Action Review.

Having relocated to New York, Mr. Zogala has established himself as a highly regarded trial attorney, specializing in litigation for Plaintiffs injured in motor vehicle collisions, construction accidents, premises negligence, defective products, and medical malpractice. He has successfully taken numerous cases to verdict across all five boroughs of New York City, as well as Nassau, Westchester, Orange, and Dutchess counties. Additionally, he has represented corporate clients in commercial litigation and provided lectures on automotive cases and the No-Fault threshold at continuing legal education seminars organized by the New York State Trial Lawyers Institute.

In 2019, Mr. Zogala was honored as one of the "Top 40 under 40" civil plaintiff trial attorneys by the National Trial Lawyers, and in 2020, he achieved national recognition as "Top 10 under 40" by the National Academy of Personal Injury Attorneys. His clientele has included a Justice of the Supreme Court of the State of New York. Actively involved in professional associations, he is a member of the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the LGBT Bar Association.
