Charles T. Kleintop currently holds the position of Managing Partner at Kleintop & Luria, LLP. He completed his undergraduate education, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lehigh University in 1967. He continued his academic journey, obtaining his Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1970.

Mr. Kleintop's illustrious career began in the U.S. Marine Corps, where he served as a judge advocate and military judge between 1970 and 1976. Following this, he continued his service in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, ultimately retiring with the rank of Colonel (O-6) in 1996. Since 1976, he has been engaged in private legal practice, primarily based in Honolulu.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kleintop has taken on significant roles within the legal community. Notably, he served as the Chairperson of the Family Law Section of the Hawaii State Bar Association from 1992 to 1994. He also assumed the position of Chairperson of the Disciplinary Board of the Hawaii Supreme Court from 2003 to 2007. In addition, he serves as an arbitrator for the State of Hawaii Court Annexed Arbitration Program. Mr. Kleintop's exceptional legal experience has been consistently recognized, as he has been featured in Hawaii's Super Lawyers list since 2008 and has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America since 1987. Furthermore, he has achieved the coveted "AV" rating from Martindale Hubbell, a national directory of attorneys, signifying his outstanding legal skills and unwavering commitment to ethical standards.

Mr. Kleintop is authorized to practice law in the State of Hawaii, the State of California, and the District of Columbia. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Court of Military Appeals.
