About Stephanie Durrance Weil

Stephanie Weil's lifelong dedication to assisting children and families was evident from a young age. With both her parents working as attorneys, her desire to pursue a legal career became clear early on. Her initial attraction to family law stemmed from her father, who served as a family law attorney in Florida for four decades before his passing. Stephanie cherished her childhood memories of playing in his conference room while he and his team prepared exhibits for trials. Witnessing her father's satisfaction when achieving positive outcomes for clients, particularly those in dire need, left a profound impression on her. It was as if family law was woven into the fabric of her existence.

Following the completion of her law degree, Stephanie chose to stay at home and care for her family until a divorce prompted her return to the workforce. As a prosecutor in the 10th judicial circuit in Florida, Stephanie handled a diverse range of cases, from attempted first-degree murder to DUI manslaughter and domestic violence cases. Her exceptional work earned her nominations and awards, including the Florida Mothers Against Drunk Driving 2017 Statewide Prosecutor of the Year, as well as the Polk County, FL Mothers Against Drunk Driving Prosecutor of Distinction in 2016 and 2018. She also gained valuable courtroom experience by trying approximately 50 jury trials, an experience that later proved invaluable when she transitioned into family law practice.

Stephanie's prowess in family law became evident when she was named "Best Divorce Attorney" in the "2019 Best of Central Florida" and was recognized as an "Elite Lawyer 2022" in the field of Georgia family law. Following her family's relocation to Atlanta in 2020, she smoothly transitioned into the realm of Georgia family law practice. There, she undertook numerous complex family law cases, focusing on high-asset divorces and fiercely contested custody battles.
