I hail from Burlington, North Carolina, where I spent my formative years. Following high school, I pursued my undergraduate education at Duke University, graduating in 2002. Soon after, I relocated to Macon, Georgia, to attend Mercer Law School. Upon completing my legal studies in 2005, I felt drawn to return to my home state. My professional journey took root in 2006 at the Cumberland County Public Defender’s Office, where I served as an Assistant Public Defender. In January 2010, I transitioned into private practice and co-founded Hogan – Kimrey, LLP. Subsequently, in February 2015, I established Kimrey Law, PLLC. Throughout my career, I've dedicated myself to criminal defense in Cumberland County, accumulating a decade of experience handling cases ranging from minor infractions, such as seatbelt violations, to serious charges like murder. My approach to each case is deeply personal—I handle them as if I were the individual facing charges. Every case and every individual involved matters profoundly to me.
