Washington, DC Intellectual Property Attorney

Steven War is an experienced intellectual property attorney who represents clients in trademark, patent, and copyright matters, including litigation in federal district courts. He has advised on technologies such as medical devices, internet applications, and consumer products, and is skilled in claim construction, infringement and validity analysis, and copyrighting. Before founding War IP Law PLLC, he led IP litigation at McNeely, Hare & War LLP and prior to that, he practiced with several national firms. Earlier in his career, he spent 14 years as a systems engineer with IBM, CTA, and Orbital Sciences Corporation, supporting government organizations such as NASA, the FAA, the U.S. Army, and the U.S. Coast Guard on projects involving satellite systems, helicopter design, voice activation and control systems, and artificial intelligence.
