Tampa, FL Divorce & Family LawyerMonica earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminology from the University of South Florida in 2002. She went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law in 2005 and became a member of the Florida Bar in 2006. While at Stetson, Monica was an active member of the Advocacy Board, participating in national competitions as part of the Negotiation Competition Team. She also held the role of Deputy Chief in Stetson’s esteemed Ambassador Program and dedicated time to pro bono work, earning the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award. Her commitment to community engagement included serving on the Board of Directors for a grassroots non-profit literacy organization. After completing law school, Monica entered private practice, focusing her career entirely on marital and family law since 2006. She has been a member of various professional organizations, including the Family Law Section of the American Bar Association, the Family Law and Young Lawyers Divisions of the Florida Bar, and the Family Law Committee of the Hispanic National Bar Association. Her involvement also extends to local groups such as the Hillsborough County Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers and the Hillsborough County Bar Association. Additionally, she is admitted to practice in the United States Middle District of Florida.
