About Andrew A. Serafini

A.J. Serafini, a Hagerstown, Maryland native, comes from a family rooted in public service; his father, Andrew Serafini, Sr., is a former State Senator for Washington County. After graduating from Grace Academy in 2005, A.J. pursued a B.S. in Government at Liberty University, where he graduated summa cum laude in just three years. He then earned his law degree from Liberty University School of Law, completing his studies in 2011 among the top five in his class.

During law school, A.J. actively contributed to his institution by serving on the moot court board, mentoring new law students, and coordinating the Street Law program, which educates at-risk youth on legal principles and the value of law adherence. A member of multiple professional organizations, he participates in the Maryland State Bar Association, Maryland Association for Justice, National Trial Lawyers Association, and the American Association for Justice.

A.J. focuses his practice on personal injury, medical malpractice, and nursing home abuse, particularly in the Western Maryland area, where he has achieved notable outcomes for his clients. He frequently attends professional development programs offered by state and national legal associations to stay current on evolving legal standards. Additionally, he serves on the Washington County Bar Association’s board and previously held a seat on the Judicial Nominating Commission under Governor Larry Hogan. Recognized for his professionalism, A.J. has received several honors, including the Herald-Mail Readers’ Choice Award for Best Attorney, the Herald-Mail Media’s "Best of the Tri-State" award, and accolades from Super Lawyers as a Rising Star for four years running.
