Waterbury, CT Family Law AttorneyArtila Tasho has practiced law in Connecticut since 2012, dedicating her career to supporting children and families within the state’s family courts. Before starting her private practice, she served for over seven years as a Staff Attorney at The Children’s Law Center of Connecticut. In her role as Guardian ad Litem (GAL), she was appointed by the court to represent the best interests of children involved in parental disputes, assisting families in reducing conflict and focusing on child-centered resolutions. Artila also has significant experience in mediating divorce and custody matters for clients who prefer a cooperative approach. Artila began her family law career in 2012 as a clerk in the Hartford Superior Court, Family Division. She earned her Juris Doctor from Western New England University School of Law and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Connecticut. During law school, she was selected as a judicial clerk for the Hampden Probate and Family Court in Massachusetts, where she drafted court decisions, and as a legal intern for the Department of Children and Families in Waterbury, where she participated in hearings related to abuse and neglect. As an active member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Family Law and Young Lawyers Sections, the Waterbury Bar Association, and the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Artila remains engaged in professional and community service. She serves on the Scholarship Committee of the American Savings Foundation and the Gala Committee of the Children’s Law Center. Fluent in Albanian, she also assists with translation and interpreting needs in her community.
