Durham, NC Personal Injury Attorney

Matthew Burkert was raised in Durham, North Carolina, where he attended Parkwood Elementary, Lowes Grove Middle, and Jordan High School. He went on to study criminal justice at East Carolina University, earning a minor in Psychology. He later received his Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2012 and became a licensed attorney in 2013. Matthew began his legal career with the Constantinou Law Group, PA, as a law clerk in 2010 and became an associate attorney in 2013. In April 2023, after a decade of practice, he took over the firm, now named Constantinou & Burkert Accident Injury Lawyers, where he serves as the managing partner. His dedication to the community remains strong as he continues to support local causes with both time and donations. When not practicing law, Matthew enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Daisy, and their two children, Meelo and Della. He also loves watching sports, including the Durham Bulls, ECU Pirates, and Duke Blue Devils.
