Before establishing his own law firm, he worked as an associate at Alverson Taylor Mortensen & Sanders in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Mumford Rawson in Salt Lake City, Utah. During his time in Nevada, Nate specialized in various aspects of civil litigation, with a focus on insurance defense, construction defect, and personal injury cases. In his tenure at Mumford Rawson, he continued to practice civil litigation but with an emphasis on family law. Nate's current practice areas at Nelson Jones encompass criminal defense, appellate law, family law, administrative law, and personal injury cases. Prior to pursuing his legal career, Nate excelled academically, graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas. His achievements at Midwestern included receiving scholarships, including an athletic scholarship to play as a shooting guard for the men's basketball team. Nate pursued his legal education at the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2009. During his time in law school, Nate's academic excellence earned him a CALI award for achieving the highest grade in Civil Procedure. He also worked as a teaching assistant for the first-year legal writing class. Outside of his legal pursuits, Nate was an active member of the University of Utah Racquetball Team. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Nate is a devoted family man. He is married and has four children. His interests outside of the legal field include spending quality time with his family, golfing, playing racquetball, riding dirtbikes, engaging in basketball, mountain biking, and fishing. Education
