A native of Atlanta, Mr. Barker holds a bachelor's degree from the University of West Georgia and a juris doctorate from Atlanta's John Marshall Law School. Prior to law school, he gained valuable experience in legal and compliance roles in both the public and private sectors. During his law school years, Mr. Barker interned at a boutique law firm in Gwinnett County, contributing to cases involving personal injury and contractual litigation. Before assuming the role of principal and managing attorney at BLG, he worked at a prominent Atlanta law firm, specializing in multi-million dollar MDL cases related to Wright Medical Hip and NFL concussion settlements. Mr. Barker is deeply committed to community service, particularly in supporting at-risk youth. With almost two decades of coaching youth sports and a role on the board of directors for nonprofit 501c3 youth organizations, he actively contributes to the community. Hosting an annual food drive in honor of the Hosea Helps Foundation for several years, he also volunteers for various organizations and serves as Judge Pro Tem for the Municipal Court of Norcross. In his leisure time, Mr. Barker enjoys backing Atlanta's sports teams, spending quality moments with his family, and exploring historic sites across Georgia.
