About Joanna Arthur
Joanna E. Arthur, a distinguished alumna of Clayton State University, graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History with Cum Laude honors. During her time at the university, she contributed significantly by aiding professors in developing curriculum structures for incoming students. She pursued her Juris Doctorate at the Walter F. George School of Law, Mercer University. While there, she actively engaged with various groups including the Associate of Women Law Students and the Christian Law Society.
Her legal journey commenced with internships at the Christian Law Association and the National Center for Life and Liberty, where she delved into Constitutional Law appellate work. Notably, she contributed to the submission of an Amicus Brief to the Supreme Court of the United States. Her experience extended to assisting in the drafting of Estate documents for clients. After successfully passing the bar exam, Joanna started her career at Ricky Morris Jr., P.C., igniting her passion for Criminal Defense.
Progressing as a sole practitioner, Joanna flourished and ultimately advanced to become a partner at Sexton & Moody, P.C. in March 2022. Her expertise centered on Criminal Defense, Estate Planning, and Probate law.
