J. Bruno de la Fuente, a Shareholder at Grossman, LeMontang & de la Fuente, P.L.L.C., embarked on his legal career by working alongside a solo practitioner in South Florida. During this time, he was involved in the prosecution and defense of a diverse range of cases in both County Court and Circuit Court. Mr. de la Fuente's primary focus at that juncture encompassed workmen's compensation, product liability, and criminal defense. The array of cases he successfully managed provided him with invaluable experience and allowed him to hone his litigation skills early in his career. Over the course of his legal journey, Mr. de la Fuente has presided over numerous evidentiary hearings and litigated numerous civil cases, including both jury and non-jury trials. A standout accomplishment in his career was securing the highest-ever jury award for damages in a Hurricane Wilma "First Notice of Loss" insurance claim at the time. In addition to his primary role within the firm's insurance litigation division, Mr. de la Fuente also contributes to the firm's general litigation division. Here, he tackles a wide spectrum of matters, including intricate real estate disputes, construction litigation, homeowner's associations, and various other commercial endeavors. Born and raised in Miami, FL, Mr. de la Fuente attended Belen Jesuit Preparatory High School. Following his graduation, he pursued a Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. His educational journey continued at the University of Miami School of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor in 2009. Mr. de la Fuente holds a license to practice law throughout the State of Florida and is an active member of the Cuban American Bar Association.
