Ms. Altman, with a legal career spanning from 1991, specializes in advocating for artists, businesses, and individuals in a wide spectrum of commercial matters. Her focal areas encompass intellectual property protection, branding, non-compete and non-disclosure agreements, commercial contracts and leases, as well as the safeguarding of trademarks, trade secrets, and copyright protection. Her expertise further extends to business formation, employment-related legalities, and human resource counseling and contracts. Ms. Altman holds substantial experience in civil litigation across state and federal courts, having represented a diverse clientele ranging from individual artists, choreographers, galleries, and musicians to entrepreneurs and large corporations. Her deep-rooted passion for the arts equips her with a unique understanding of the creative process and fuels her commitment to assisting artists in safeguarding their creations through registration, licensing, contractual agreements, and ongoing guidance.

Early in her career, Ms. Altman completed two federal judicial clerkships—one in the US District Court for the Southern District of Florida and another in the US District Court for the Northern District of California. She honed her skills as an associate litigation attorney at prominent law firms such as Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati in the Palo Alto office and Carroll Burdock & McDonough (now Squire Patton Boggs) in San Francisco. During her law school years, she contributed to The American Criminal Law Review law journal for two years, actively participating in editing and publishing the annual “Survey of White Collar Crime."

Ms. Altman serves on the Board of Trustees of Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Naples, Florida, and the Naples Ballet & Company. Her commitment to community welfare is evidenced through her pro bono legal work.
