Shannon, the CEO of the firm, hails from the Tidewater area of Virginia, brought up in a close-knit family with deep-rooted military service connections. From an early age, she imbibed the values of hard work and social responsibility, believing in leaving every situation better than she found it. During her high school junior year, Shannon served as a U.S. House of Representatives Page during the 101st United States Congress in Washington, D.C. This exposure introduced her to diverse cultures and global issues, shaping her desire to pursue legal studies and help others navigate challenging situations. She completed her undergraduate degree at North Carolina Wesleyan College and went on to earn a law degree from Michigan State University College of Law. Shannon furthered her education with an LL.M. in Taxation from Wayne State University after becoming a licensed attorney in Michigan. In her career, Shannon has represented clients ranging from international corporations to single parents. While excelling as a litigator, she discovered her inclination towards mentoring and guiding others in their legal practice, ultimately leading her to focus more on the operational side of law. Before joining the current firm, she held the position of Vice President of Litigation Operations at a national law firm, overseeing offices across the United States. Outside of work, Shannon resides with her husband and their three Airedales. Her interests span historical reenactment, particularly focusing on the Elizabethan era, as well as costume design, travel, and a fondness for all things Disney.
