Criminal Defence Attorney

Jerry, serving as Senior Trial Counsel at Steele Law, boasts extensive experience in civil litigation and criminal defence. His current focus revolves around defending against a diverse array of criminal allegations, including impaired and dangerous driving, offenses causing death, sexual assault, domestic assault, drug conspiracies, distribution allegations, and digital crime cases. With a track record of representing clients across various court levels, including Provincial and Supreme Courts, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada, Jerry is renowned for his client-centric approach, characterized by honesty and a history of favourable outcomes. Jerry holds a Bachelor of Communications (BA), a Master’s in Leadership (MA) from Royal Roads University, and a Juris Doctor in Law (JD) from the University of Victoria. Additionally, he is a graduate of the American Association for Justice Trial Advocacy College at Harvard Law School. Beyond his thriving legal career, Jerry is dedicated to promoting lawyer wellness. He frequently serves as a keynote speaker on the subject in both Canada and the United States. As an active volunteer and former Associate Director with the Lawyers Assistance Program of BC, he contributes significantly to the legal community. Moreover, Jerry serves as an Adjunct Professor in the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria, where he mentors senior law students in conducting all aspects of a trial in the Provincial Court of BC.
