Jones earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Charleston School of Law in 2010 and has been a member of the South Carolina Bar ever since. He commenced his career as a law clerk for the Honorable Michael G. Nettles in Florence, focusing on researching civil and criminal legal issues. Subsequently, he transitioned into the role of a prosecutor, working in various regions, including Pee Dee, York County, and ultimately in the 13th Circuit. Throughout his career, Chris garnered substantial experience by actively litigating criminal cases from inception to conclusion, achieving an impressive trial conviction rate of over 92%. Chris's educational background includes graduating cum laude from Presbyterian College in 2007, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion. During his time as a student, he held leadership positions, serving as Chairman of the Honor Council in 2006 and as the President of his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Order. Beyond his legal pursuits, Chris remains deeply committed to his community. He engages in mentoring activities with Fostering Great Ideas, offering valuable guidance to children in foster care. He is also a dedicated member of the Mental Health Board for Pickens-Oconee-Anderson Counties. Chris and his family are actively involved in the life of First Presbyterian Church in Greenville.
