About Catherine H. Hicks

Catherine Hicks, a native of Atlanta, is a distinguished alumna of the University of Georgia, where she graduated in 1986 with honors (cum laude) and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa. She furthered her education at the University of Georgia School of Law, earning her degree in 1989 with the prestigious Castellow Scholarship.

Admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1989, Catherine joined Fox Chandler in 1992, contributing actively to various legal and professional associations. Notably, she served in leadership roles within the Gainesville-Northeastern Bar Association, including Vice President (2016-2017) and Secretary (2014-2016), and remains a dedicated member of The E. Wycliff Orr Inn of Court and the Family Law Section of the Georgia Bar Association.

Beyond her legal career, Catherine has made significant community contributions, holding positions on the Hall-Dawson CASA Board of Directors, leading the Attorneys Section of Hall County United Way, and serving on boards such as the Children's Center for Hope and Healing. She also actively participated in various educational and athletic organizations, coaching mock trial teams at Gainesville High School and Pinecrest Academy. Her involvement extends to her support as Vice President of Enota Elementary PTA and Secretary of Centennial Elementary PTA, as well as her role in the Pinecrest Academy Touchdown Club. Furthermore, Catherine, alongside her husband Brian, raises two sons who have also pursued careers in law.
